Tom Cairney has just admitted on TV that he's thrown himself to the ground as soon as he felt contact, and he's laughed about it. That there was zero in it to make him go down.
Why is the game rewarding players who are cheating and trying to mislead?
The last one is never a penalty either.
The last one is a clear pen.
His thigh takes away his leg and knocks him off balance.
Feel like people look at the defender and try to have sympathy. For me, he's stuck his leg across, blocked his path and not got anywhere near the ball. It's a pen.
The first penalty is more of a debate
For me it’s neither careless (as he pulls his foot away, and the attacker deliberately moves to draw contact that wouldn’t have otherwise happened) reckless or excessive force. So I don’t see how it’s enough to overturn, not a howler, and the definition simulation. Just because it might have been made to look like he was fouled it doesn’t mean he was, and we’ve been conditioned to accept this over the years as there’s not been enough discussion or focus from the pgmol into getting it right. “We”, not just Everton fans, as it happens for almost every team, just accept it.
It’s not netball,…”contact, goal defence”.

If that's considered to be handball then that's where indirect freekicks need to come in. There's no way that should result in a massive opportunity to score with a penalty.
Great idea.

The coverage on BT/TNT really is the worst I’ve ever seen.
Savage has just been screaming over the commentary about Fernandes sprinting back when they were hit on the break like it was the best thing ever.
He gave away a needless foul, got booked and they scored from the free kick.
Ferdinand screaming “oh my days” over uniteds goal.
Absolutely terrible.

I don’t mind partisan commentary. Quite like how McCoist is obviously biased towards UK teams he’s commentates on. But yeah, this is just lads down the pub stuff.
Cracking game.

He looked onside.
How do they manage to check that quick when it takes us five minutes over here?

Galatasaray are a good answer when you don't know what club a half-decent player plays for. Had no idea Ziyech was there.

Didn't realise what a terrible position Man United were in with this group. Even if they win this match then they're not favourites to go through.
