The fact is, if we get him, he’ll be somewhere between shit and bang average, but if he goes somewhere else he’ll be the next Lukaku for them. Thats just how the world works.
Apart from if he goes to Man U…

At 22 Dom was still a good few years from his peak, how did that work out ?
Pretty phenomenally given at 22 he was valued about £12m and peaked at around £40m…
At 22 he played a full PL season and scored 6 goals - I know he’s had a rough two years but his peak was much higher than it was at 22

I'm happy if we get him, and fine if we don't tbh.
Good player with potential, but not necessarily a transformative signing like Lukaku was when we got him.
There's other promising strikers around Europe (Emegha, Konate).
I feel confident that Beto can be a 10-15 goal striker for us, so it doesn't feel existential to get a killer. If we can get another striker who can get 15 goals and compete with Beto, I think we're good. We need more goals and chance creation from wide areas and the midfield.
Think the key is, he's a different player than Beto. Need different approaches and he would offer that.

He looks good in that, but I've been fooled by highlight videos before. Definitely a more rounded player than Beto.
Yeah definitely looks more to like in that video than I realised. Just check it wasn’t made by Industrial Light & Magic and directed by James Cameron…
I actually remember watching niasse's video and thinking jesus he's all over the shop.
The soundtrack was a song going "I AM THE LUUUCKY MAAAAN" while Niasse scored goals off his knees and backside.

Times and talksport reporting he’s chosen Chelsea.
Shame if true but was always a long shot for us.

Shame, we'll loan him in two years though.
Hope Plan B is good. Would loooouuurve a little scouting video on options to salivate over.

Video is great as shows how he loves to turn a d dribble forward or spin off a man and get in behind.
What it doesn't show are any balls pinged in to his chest or head and how well he holds it up which would be a big question mark for me. We won't be playing everything in to his feet so he needs to be able to do that side of the game too.
Maybe he can but I would want to see some evidence before committing a lot of money and wages to him.

He'll do a fat pile of fuck all at Chelsea but it won't really be his fault.
