to be fair to him, he has had some good periods at other times over those 5 years, it's not all been poor.

He's had a few false dawns during that period, and if anything says Everton fan in the modern era, it's letting yet another one give us hope.

He does for sure, but how long can you give him? He's just had 2 weeks off. I think he's going to have to just power through. Bringing him in and out isn't going to fix him, and we can't drop him for two three games surely.

Is what it is, whenever possible get Keane out the team is a number one rule. As pleased as I am for his recent renaissance.

We haven't really seen Keane with branthwaite yet. We've only really judged tarkowski playing with branthwaite and then given him a pass because he's playing with Keane. At this point I wouldn't be against seeing how Keane does with branthwaite rather than always instead of him

Michael Keane is set to enter talks with several foreign clubs in January about a free-transfer move next summer that would end his eight-year stay at Everton.
The 31-year-old centre back expects to sign a pre-contract agreement with a new club next month and has suitors in Serie A and Major League Soccer in the United States.
Keane, who moved to Goodison Park from Burnley for £25million in 2017, also has interest from other Premier League sides but, while he can speak directly to clubs abroad from January 1, he must wait until

Keane, who turns 32 next month, was left out of the team recently by Sean Dyche after a run of matches in the side to make room for the fit-again Jarrad Branthwaite. He missed Sunday's 4-0 defeat away to Manchester United because of a knock to his knee that is likely to sideline him for the next ten days. Everton, who are 15th, are at home to 18th-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday night before a Merseyside derby against Liverpool at Goodison on Saturday lunchtime.

We could lose 12 players is the most startling take from that article, we don't have a huge squad as it is. A quick look and with couple of loans returning we could have a squad of 16 (4 of them goal keepers).

Losing those 12 players would not normally be such a bad thing except for the fact that they would all be on a free and therefore no income so that our budget for replacements will be severely restricted due to PSR unless TFG have some very creative accountants.

In theory we can replace a good chunk of those players for a similar contribution in lower wages - reality is that will be hard to do.

Keane is a good squad player but not for £75k a week. Gueye is the biggest potential loss, by far our best midfielder but at his age will be unlikely that we want to pay whatever he is currently on which I think is close to £100k a week.

I suspect we will try to re-sign him, maybe Doucoure, Virginia. Loan players will be replaced with other loan players. Maybe we trot out the corpse of Seamus Coleman and Ashley Young again.

Truth is we desperately need a starting RB, starting LB, pacy winger, striker (DCL is leaving). Probably also want a CM, if Branthwaite goes need a new starting CB.

We will have a lot more room in PSR with increased revenue but we desperately need a couple low cost transfer wins (as Brighton have done time and again) to help us build out the squad.
