Not a bad deal, after two seasons barely playing his stock is low.

Sell on % and I see the sense in it

That's a fair old punt at £8m for Rangers on a player who's scored about three goals in his career. Thelwell must see something in him.

I reckon he’s about as safe a bet as you’ll get for 8 million. Tall strong mobile and technically good. I’d bet my house on him being at least an 8 million pound striker for them. (Disclaimer I don’t actually have a house I have a flat)

It's a huge amount of money for Rangers, probably in their top 5 spend for a player who's got no real pedigree to go by. If he doesn't do well there he won't do it anywhere.

Have we lost 50% on him in less than two years? Not sure that's great.

Rangers just got 12 million for igmane so they have a bit to spend I bet he does well there

Bought for €12.5m, not £12.5m.

Not a bad hit financially at all.

You lose out sometimes when you invest in potential, it's not a massive loss for us and he wasn't going to play here

Would have much preferred a loan. I think he's got something about him, but he's just not ready for us right now.

I think it's a move that suits all parties really. Not going to happen for him here, Rangers are probably getting a really promising player who can do big things in the SPL and we make back a bit of money to use elsewhere.

Got to get that 25% of profit if Rangers sell him on.

That's the deal breaker for me Image

Thought he has good potential, nice profile as a big strong mobile forward, decent technique as well. But didn't get the minutes here and injury slowed down his progress.

Slap a sell-on fee to protect ourselves a bit if he goes ballistic. Maybe we pocket enough to bring in another forward.

£12.5m over a 4 year contract =£3.125m per year.

With amortisation, selling for £8m after 2 years in to his contract means we've made a profit (I think), which probably covers the wages paid.

If so its a good deal for the here and now.
