Same number of points after 5 games (1) as we where last season.

Once Branthwaite is back in should see a massive improvement in form.

Just need Branthwaite back and to go on a bit of a run. Think we will do.

Need him to bail out those numbskull cloggers we’ve got at the back.

Tbh if we all class Branthwaite in the 60m+ category, that should mean he has the mentality to cope with expectation and pressure. It would be a lot more intense at a really big Champs League club and most of us think he will flourish there.
It may take him a game or two, but I do expect him to improve us a great deal. It wasn't a fluke season from him last year.

I'm still confident we'll be absolutely fine this season.

I’ve just had a very scientific look at the other teams in the EPL and determined we are, at our best, easily better than the current bottom 7/8 clubs.

That’s all. Bye.

I appreciate the depth of your analysis on this matter, you honour us.

Would also appreciate your scientific analysis on the probability of how often we will play at our best, versus how often it will be scientifically excruciating to watch?

Is there a material difference between these two states? Surely the VENN diagram is a circle?

I was going to say two circles, but in the absence of any data in the ‘at our best’ column, one circle would be correct.

4 points down on corresponding fixtures from last season.

23-24/24-25
Aston Villa A 0/0
Bournemouth H 3/0
Brighton H 1/0
Crystal Palace H 1/3
Luton/Leicester A 1/1
Newcastle H 3/1
Tottenham A 0/0
Total 9/5

Although I did 18th from last season (Luton) = 1st promoted from the championship (Leicester) and so on.

If you did it by the promoted teams' positions in the championship (Burnley/Leicester) then we're 6 points down.

A good indicator of how it is still too early to panic is that we are currently only 2 points behind Man U. I’d bite your hand off to finish the season 2 points behind them, as would probably most of us. That would have meant 9th place last season.
