Hes done well defensively in the main but hes every bit a 6ft 5 centre half when hes trying to attack. On his best day it's a massive problem because it halves the effectiveness of the man infront of him. Its absolutely criminal that he's our starting right back

Madness as well having our tallest player taking our long throws

The madness is they aren't long. They seem to always fall short. If we haven't got anyone who can take a long throw in why would we use it as a tactic

Madness is that we can't take throw ins full stop long or short . Ball gets turned over straight away.

Me too. Seems a lovely fella and he’s getting hung out to dry in a position he’s not really suited to. Makes him look a shit player when really, we’ve no chance of seeing his best qualities there.

Was it my imagination or did the West Ham left back foul throw the ball several times Monday night

Overlooking the pros/cons to the team, on a positive it's not a terrible thing that he's getting more experience at PL level even if it's out of position. Long term it'll (hopefully) help him read the game even better and even out of position he's still learning to be part of a defensive unit and getting more experience defending corners and free kicks etc.
Worked out for Lescott in the end

Oh it’s a tried and tested way of giving experience without the huge responsibility of being in the centre in front of goal with nothing else behind you but the keeper.
But it’s usually also managed a lot better in terms of being done in a settled side in a controlled way.
We just seem to have stuck him out there on his own and forgotten about him.

If we'd managed to get Kenny tete over the line he'd have been enjoying the tried and tested bench

I doubt it, KDH hasn't and I've heard he's absolutely shit.
