22 years old. Can't get in their team. 46 appearances in his entire career. £30m plus addons. Branthwaite £100m at least if this is the going rate.

Come on.
£30m is fine for him. If anything, it’s cheap.

Definitely Liverpool tax , that said we paid 25m for Keane and Godfrey. More over who they going to try and get in Konte , Endo Gomez all injury prone , just need VVD injured .

Have you seen who they have bought/are buying?
If 40 year old Salah/VVD are out then i dont think they will struggle...

I really don't rate Quansah, he definitely gets a level of favouritism because of who he plays for, but at only 22 I back him to go to Germany and develop now. I don't think £30m is too mental compared to some of the other absurd prices they've got for average/poor youngsters in the past (Ibe, Brewster, etc)

£30m for a 22 year old CB with premier league and international experience for England from the league champions is about right imo.
They do rinse teams when it comes to their youth players who've never made it, but I don't think that's the case here.

Is 46 appearances at 22 much experience though? Branthwaite is the same age with like 130

Still think it's a lot for him based on minutes on the pitch. Oly 30 prem app. 488min last season over 13 games .
LFC tax

Yeah I think 46 appearances at 22 is pretty decent tbh, and we want over double for Branthwaite because he's played those extra matches.

We signed Nathan Patterson for £15m after 15 games in Scotland.
It’s just the market these days.
