That defence isn’t a defence that gives you a chance of winning a tournament.

Massive drop off from the likes of Walker, stones and shaw imo.
It feels like the age of the great CB died a while back, all seem a much of a muchness with fantastic technique but without that true CB prowess the likes of Campbell, Ferdinand, Terry etc had.

I don't know if that's just the Premier League or all leagues tbh, but seems to have been a thing for a while now here.

I think James if fit and Hall if he can cement a starting role before the world cup are really strong full back options with lots of attacking threat so this doesn't concern me a great deal. However if it ends up being Livramento and Spence I'd be fairly worried.

Oh right

At least he’s been ripping it up as an attacking option!

0 goals 0 assists

Ahhhh well, maybe he does, something?

Spence is ok but not good enough to excel at international level, I cant look past having a right-footer at left back by choice.

If Spence and Solanke played for 17th place Everton then they wouldn't be in the England squad

He’s physical and can play on both flanks but I can’t say I’ve ever watched him and been that impressed.

Not many great English full backs out there though.

Lewis Hall is the best of the left backs at the moment, and Reece James on the right if he can stay fit, is not too bad a combo.

It is a strong squad on paper but as has been said, a lot out of form.

Pickford

James Stones Guehi Hall

Rice Wharton

Palmer Bellingham Gordon

Kane

Gordon hasn't been great and hes a cunt but there needs to be some threat in behind, and him and Hall play together. Id go for Palmer or Foden over Saka with the latter being way off his best this season.

Speaking of out for form, Foden just looks totally lost right now.

Feels like he might be better off getting a move out of city and trying to be an important player in a smaller squad. A bit like KDH with us.

Japan are different, completely different style, will be an interesting watch tomorrow.

Was funny to hear Tuchel gush over their efficiency and near-robotic tactics and methods, will their predictability be their downfall against England?

Any chance garner plays tonight as reward for being MOTM or will the B team game have been pretty pointless?
