I did watch it mate I was there at the time no one even saw it the ref was basically to the right of them and had a view of them jumping the ball went everyone played on he then waved his arm arm at the ref like what they do when they don’t get a foul…he made no indication that he’d had his pony tail pulled it was only after var intervened that he started saying it….so like I said reffing by camera it’s now become…..especially when Everton players are concerned….like I said my mates an ex ref now a refs assessor and he’s said no way shud it be a red….one of their players ragged his leg down Armstrongs calf……a potential long term injury…..a yellow card…more violent than having ye pony tail pulled I’d say……

I was sitting directly behind the goal in North stand, total bewilderment as to what the ref. was listening to VAR for, not a single person within earshot had seen anything wrong at all, thought he had a problem with his head set. Of course when it is slowed down a million times that fraction of a second contact looks worse but there is not the slightest body or body movement of the Wolves player to suggest that it had impaired him in the least. O.k it happened but had nothing whatsoever with “violent conduct” for which he was given a three match ban.

He did pull his hair though, regardless of anything else he did do it... They've made the crime fit the punishment rather than the punishment fit the crime, but at the end of the day you can't pull someone's hair when going up for a header, and you can't accidentally grab someone's pony tail and hold on to it even if just for a second.

Just a stupid act by a player whith a history of making stupid decisions for us.
Like Patterson and McNeil, just make him history as from next season and trim the players we have had to keep floating around just to have bodies when we'd rather move them on.

What does it matter if you didn't see it?
What does it matter if nobody saw it?
That's the point of Var isn't it?
I don't like it but that's the point of it. Keanes tried to get away with pulling hair like a gigantic fanny and now we have to play three games without our worst CB.
Hwang should have been a red, but that's got nothing to do with it.

It's clearly a tug of the hair. It's probably equivalent to putting a palm to the head of another player and pushing them away, not overtly violent but it's going to get you sent off in most circumstances

Think its more the equivalent of someone getting caught with an elbow when jumping or slapped by a stray hand. Its not intentionally violent and never a red

Disagree that it's comparable to an elbow, he grabs his hair and pulls it down like he's climbing a rope FFS. Nothing like raising your elbows or hands to try and head a ball. It's a completely alien movement in football

Those things can be accidental, surely this is never in a million years and accident?

I thought it might have been because he’s grabbing at the back of the player and I personally think he’s trying to grab the shirt, but he gets a handful of what he gets and then gets sent off for it. I reckon if he grabs the shirt instead of the hair, then no one says anything.
But I’m a bit sick of this now.
I think it’s a clear illustration that two different people will have two different views of the same incident so I’m just open to the idea that one of us is probably wrong and it might be me. Time to move on.

Truth is it doesn't really matter. We were drawing before the reds and we drew. Most of us didnt want Keane to play anyway and the season as a whole is pretty much over anyway.
Its really cost us very little.
