Goal tally yes, but he seemed to get over his injury woes last season so I think he'd potentially be a great asset for how Dyche wants to play and will be very hard to replace.

Losing his large wages would be another good step towards a more sustainable way of working though.

Given that the MO under Dyche is hard work the replacement will have to be just that. But hard work really should be the minimum.

He does it well no doubt but I also feel the way he is being asked to play means other sides to his game are hindered. If we can add someone with equal work rate but delivering a better goals return on top the we really shouldn't "Miss" him all that much.

Such a player will cost a bomb in both fee and wages, you would imagine

He is being asked to play different under Dyche and he does his role well of course. He scored 7 last season and went 21 games without scoring.

Obviously Ancellotti said he wanted him to basically be like Inzaghi and just stand there and get goals and that's when we seen the best of him in terms of goals.

His 1 on 1 finishing has always been quite poor though, if we can land someone who is able to do the donkey work but add more goals we should still be better off over all.

Not slating the lad like. I'll miss him mainly because he is a top fella and does his role well enough, love seeing him play with a smile on his face and do well, but in his time here he's barely a 1 in 4 striker. We should be OK but it's down to how we recruit, which seems at least to be more thorough this time around.

So all we need is a replacement with a massive work rate who is exceptional at holding the ball up, leaps like a salmon and can bag 10+ a season. Oh, and will cost under £30m.

We cant afford losing him for nothing so we need to just get the best deal we can asap

I like and rate dcl but that new hair style is awful I'd reduce his price by £10m if it means I don't have to look at it ever again

Can't cope with Beto as striker for the season

I'm personally gutted if he goes. Can't imagine him in a different shirt. I get the pluses and minuses but I think we'll find him hard to replace. I think when the fans turned on him when he was injured/not scoring it hurt him because he gave everything when he could.

Dominic Calvert Lewin does not have a massive work rate, he does that dad run across the pitch to make it look like he's trying. I'll agree with you in the other pints though

Worth nothing he has only achieved more than ten league goals twice since being here.

Whilst about that Adebayo from Luton?

10 non penalty goals for Luton last season, looked alright and seemed to he able to handle the prem.

6ft4 big wirey frame, puts himself about, 26 so should be entering his prime, could probably land him I'd imagine for less than £15M?

I'd much rather DCL stays, but if he is adamant he's not renewing his contract then he needs to go pronto
