Not sure of the full background to this but it looks like Hendesron has tried to call out media during the presser about reports on a move to Monaco (which turn out are true) but then ends up looking a bit of a bellend when he's pushed on it. Long pauses then repeating the question back is a classic 'time killer whilst I think of an answer' tactic.

To add to it, it seems they reported that he had requested they let him move to Monaco or he would refuse to play for them again. But then this is the guy who banged the drum for rainbow laces etc then fucked off to Saudi when the big bucks were on offer so it's not like he hasn't said one thing then done another in the past.

It's a lot to spend for (hopefully) a league 2 club.

They know they’re getting a transfer ban for it

How ridiculous will the inflated sponsorships look if they ever get sent down, and how will they be justified at that level?
Will highlight even more what a farcical situation it actually is. But I expect it won't even get to that, almost solely for that very reason.

I'd love to know how they can afford to spend that much in Jan from a PSR perspective?

Don’t really see the issue?
They sold Alvarez, Cancelo and Haywood Bellis in the summer for like £125m and bought no one?

No issue, I just didn't know how they could afford it but you've cleared it up for me.

They've been making about 50 or 60m a year profit haven't they. So that's 150m plus the 105m they are allowed to lose
