Bottom line is utd don't have the money. Its odd that they thought teams should just reduce their prices to fit with their new budget.

Every club does it to suit their agenda, just like Everton did with 'headlock gate' etc. Bill Kenwright was widely known to give out snippets of Everton news to mates in the medai.

And conveniently plant negative stories about players we wanted rid of to turn the fans against them.

Also a story in the Echo saying we're not remotely interested in any players from Man U as part of the deal, that we're planning for next season with Branthwaite, and the only way a move gets considered is if they pay the asking price.

The problem is any players that utd would want to include are being paid double or even treble what they are worth which completely tanks their value. Its like us trying to buy players in the past using bolasie, Ali or Holgate to offset the cost
Especially we'd losing all the cash we get in wages for the utd cast offs

Can anyone actually remember a players plus cash deal ever coming off? I only ever remember one swap deal happening and I keep an eye out for them because it always comes up in the media but never seems to happen
