I don't dispute that. The thing is I think this if FIFA going "oh you know what, they're used to a half hour interval in their NFL final there, we should take advantage of that and make more money".
I'm pretty sure our despotic ruler doesn't give two shits about the tournament or the final other than how much money is being funneled to him by Infantino.
Bet he still insists on standing with the players when they lift the trophy again though, the fucking narcissistic orange cunt.

That's a certainty, hopefully his health prevents it though. I mean, hopefully he's room temperature by then.

I just hope if England win someone at the FA is a dab hand at Photoshop so they can edit him out.
Although your solution is definitely the preferable one!

I was just going to post that, not a good look for the club or manager and sounds like some threats etc were made to anyone who didn't want to do it.

How the hell can the manager not get sacked after this? Southampton have lost an awful lot of friends here, in trying to defend / justify their actions. Their claim that “everyone does it” did sound pathetic, but I wonder how much truth is in it, if any?

Maybe they are waiting to see if the FA ban him so that they don't have to pay him off?

I doubt he could legally complain about it if they sacked him for gross misconduct.
I suspect the reason they don't want to sack him is that he'd immediately dob them in, cos they knew about this shit too.

Hahahah the Southampton owners interview is gold!!
He won’t sack the manager because he’s actually quite good
The club have already been over punished because they couldn’t get all that lovely money the PL offers
They didn’t know it was against the rules to spy
It’s the junior analysts fault for not raising his objections louder and to more senior club members
Also the analysts fault for not spying the day the manager wanted as that would’ve fallen outside the 72hr window so would’ve been fine
Diving is a worse crime so why aren’t they punished as severely
And it wasn’t fair the EFL appointed a criminal prosecution lawyer whilst they only appointed a football expert lawyer

Yeah, just read the BBC article and was astounded by the comments. Takes no responsibility and openly blames the junior analyst. A total asshole.
Southampton are coming out of this terribly.
