Honestly I've been sat round waiting to hear how we got on

Absent of other information, I think it's reasonable to assume he's been brought in for the current appeal given that process is still in the works.

Fully possible the PL could try and sink us next week, but I think we're still in the business of fighting the first charge which remains really the most important as it would have a domino effect onto any other charges/actions taken against us,

Could be a bit of both - we’re expecting to be hit again but dismantle the original process and prove it to be unfair, unenforceable, corrupt or whatever and they won’t be able to hit us a second time

On the plus side a lawyer of this stature is not going to take on a certain loser of a case, even if it is high profile.
Good chance there’s a solid case to be made

From what I'm reading, he isn't involved in defending any potential second punishment. He's been brought on board specifically for the appeal to pick holes in the initial process that led to the 10 point deduction.

This can only be a good thing for us and will be pretty awful for the Premier League in terms of avoiding independent regulation.

Yeah, I'm the same as brap. I mistakenly thought we'd already made our case for the appeal and that it was being considered, with a decision pending any day.

But it appears that the appeal is still being put together, so it absolutely makes sense to get the best legal involvement.

We probably thought we faxed them our appeal but it turns out only BK knew the password for the fax machine and he didn’t share that password with anyone else

So basically, Work out how many points are needed to relegate us, then do just that.
