Still undecided on where I want to sit.
Probably going for the equivalent of my Park End seat. Getting used to sitting with other people will be shock enough without adjusting to a different view as well!

It’s fine to discuss things we like and don’t like.
The ground is great and it’s going to be fantastic.
Im just a bit underwhelmed by the set up inside. Nothing unique about it or anything to set us apart.
The big, single tier stand was a big selling point and we’re not getting that it seems.
There’s a clear break between the stand and it’s even being sold as upper south and lower south i think?
Just disappointed with that. Not having a moan or anything about the ground as a whole.

Why would we pretend that there wasn't a huge fuss about the blue wave south stand and it has been quietly bin bagged?

Have they categorically said it's a change from 1 single stand to 2?
I was just looking at the launch video, and unless it's my eyes, which is possible, you can see a divide between the top and bottom, it's just that the separation is painted blue, so it's not as noticeable, see the video in this:

I'm not even sure there was a "huge fuss" at any time was there, I think the 'blue wall' name was coined by fans? I don't think the design has been changed or binned since it was originally designed just that some fans have maybe convinced themselves it was something it was never going to be.
The south stand will appear as one continuous rising tier to supporters inside the stadium. However, it has been cleverly designed with a dividing, vertical wall, known as a ‘super riser’ half way up. This means that fans in the lower, safe standing area will not compromise the views of those sitting in the sections above the riser. In addition, there are upper and lower vomitories, for better ingress and egress and to avoid the need for fans are the top of the stand to have to climb all the way from the lower concourse.

Strangely it has all the hallmarks of a moan

It's a single stand, there's about a metre of concrete between the bottom and top sections but I'd imagine that was to do with strengthening or to allow the top section to get slightly steeper which it does but once the fans are in it I don't think it'll be noticable. Looking at it, it might even be a small walkway?
The stadium looks fantastic and it's about the only good thing to come from the club in years and people still find reason to moan about it.
Would imagine that logistics/public safety would dictate the need for at least a passageway of sorts midway, don’t recall Meis ever referring a single “Blue wall” effect is the same, when both sections full it will appear as one stand.

Why is this causing so much offence ffs.
It’s just one thing I’m disappointed with.
There was 100% a blue wall, blue wave thing coming from the club and Dan Meis and I don’t think we’re getting quite what we thought we were.

No one's getting offended, you just that said it's okay to discuss things we like or don't like but now it's not because people are questioning your interpretation of it. Think it's nitpicking, even in the video a page or two back you can see the stand rises as one from front to back with the concrete section midway, there hasn't been any change in plans or descriptions from what it was going to be.
Even on Meis own website it mentions the single tier but goes on to say that the lower tier will be adaptable for rail seating.

Yeah I think that H&S probably affected what we thought we were getting to include a single exit walkway in the middle, so it’s not really what we were hoping for but it’s not too different either.
Imagine being in the top half and needing to exit and having to get all the way to the bottom before being able to turn towards an exit.

Also in order to make provision for a potential rail seating section, which was quite popular, there’s needs to be some form of division.

It does take away from the impact that concrete break. If it’s just to control how many people are using the means of escape or to control access to the upper concourse then it’s a bit of a missed opportunity.
Architectural ambition in its purist form can get diluted in the design process by requirements to comply with the regulations.

It changed with the safe standing implications didn't it? Safe standing wasn't a thing when we announced the project, I don't think? And then with the developments there we've decided to turn the whole lower area into safe standing. There are still restrictions, which mean it can't be the whole stand, so you therefore need a 'break', which is what the dividing wall is. It is one stand in the sense that all the other stands have concourses or boxes between the them, this doesn't.
When full, if the 'lower section' are all standing it won't look like there's even a break. It looks pronounced now, but fill it with people and paint that break section blue, and you'll have your 'blue wall'.
It's certainly not a "downgrade that's been sneaked in"!
