I don't think Romano actually said it
he did say it, said it on his YouTube channel.

Anything on a fee? Not that we should this late in the window and having zero ability to find a suitable replacement before the 2027/28 season

Not surprising, and we'll likely have to say goodbye at some point... Now is not that time though.

Phillipe Auclair talking about him on the Guardian podcast wondering what he is doing at a team that plays like us. Noticing how he beat 3 players, looked up and had nobody to pass to.

I mean, he's not wrong.

Yeah, he’s out of place when we play like we did at Leeds

I thought buying players like KDH and Grealish was so that we could play football with Ndiaye. Not so we could be a basic, soak and hit on the counter team.

They all play in the same spaces, it was always going to Ndiaye that gets shoved out of position

If we get the players we need, I think we’ll be able to play some football against lesser sides and be able to strike on the counter against bigger ones.
Leeds was a disaster but it was a disaster of having the wrong players in enough positions to make the team dysfunctional. We couldn’t break their press with a right-footed LB and no midfielder to collect the ball from the defense.
If the squad doesn’t get what it needs and we have to shuffle chairs on deck like that often, we’re in trouble. The second we get a left back back, we’ll look magnitudes better. If we add a right back and right winger, even moreso. Add a DM who can link play from defense to the attacking midfield area and we’re actually fairly good.

We have the wrong players, on the wrong team,
playing wrong tactics and with the wrong scheme...
DM doesn't just stand for David Moyes, mates.
