No too bad when you consider the likelihood of add ons pretty fuckin remote.
Apparently the add ons are easily achieved! So I wonder what they are?
Must admit this signing does make me.happy.

Probably mostly appearance based. Maybe a stay in the premier league one too

Totally underwhelmed by this one tbh, and worry that he's going to have the crowd on his back quite quickly if he struggles.
Hopefully it turns out well though, he's obviously got shitloads of potential so fingers crossed he's the answer to our right side midfield problems.
Lot of pressure on him being the answer at 19. I worry for him. I heard he has had a tough time of it as a kid and Southampton have been like a family to him, hence why he struggled at Chelsea when he was much younger.

Knowing our luck it will be something like 2 million every 10 games he plays, hence moyes not playing him all the time

We need him to be very good now though, not the future. Have my doubts about him, but glad we have a right winger at last.

He'd be the most expensive British teenager ever apparently (ahead of Archie Gray), which is a bit of a flex on our part, but a little extra baggage for him.

Confident he will star for us this season. Within a few years it will be difficult to keep him.

Hope we tie this one up and get a proper RB to play behind him. Would be beneficial to have someone who can overlap rather than a 6'6 CB who admittedly tries but is not good on the ball.
Will make his life easier and help him perform.

We really don’t. He can be decent and patchy now. We need to stay up and keep making this type of signing for the next few years and hope that most of them either make the grade for us or get sold on for a profit.
Question for someone who understands this stuff more. In terms of PSR if we sell him in say 3 years time how much do we need to sell him for for it to have been a good buy

Today, he’s mostly going take the ball off the right back, turn his man, and run with it. Certified dribble monster.
The next phase of development is to generate more shots cutting in on his left and set up his teammates with in swinging crosses and through balls.
A few years in the future he might morph into a central player, somewhere between a 8 and 10 but that’s not where we need a starter today.
He’s definitely not a £40m player as is but the definition of a £40m player has gone haywire anyway. Big talent and would bring us one position closer to having a passable transfer window.

Watch David insist he’s a 10 and continues to play Carlos out on the right.
He might well be a 10 or a very attacking 8 in the future.
But his main purpose today is to get Charly to the bench where he can work on his game in focused bursts. Alcaraz is talented but nowhere near being a starter with his lack of concentration and tendency to play with his head down.
