If you look on the original 'artist's impression' pictures and the fly around video that they did back in 2019 when the plans were about to be submitted there's a clear dividing line in the stand. Maybe people had taken that it would all be row after row of seats from top to bottom with no break but it doesn't appear that was ever the case.

Makes you wonder how we managed the last 130 years without baby changing rooms and faith rooms in the Upper Gwladys.

Didn’t they even bring out illustrations comparing it to the kop to show how big it would be?
They definitely gave the impression we were getting one big single tier stand.
They can market it as single tier if they wish but it just isn’t.
I’m sure once it’s filled it will be great and I might even get a ticket there myself, but I do feel like we’ve been mislead somewhat.

How likely is it that there may be a standing section?

I think you mean these, it does look like it's one from the slope pics, but so do all of the comparators, so I'm assuming they were just trying to give an indication of the pitch of it, rather than the detail.
The other pictures clearly depict a break, if you can call it that

State of the West Ham stadium in those comparisons

Spurs and Dortmund's yellow wall are classed as single teir stands and both have the same division, it's a construction terminology from what I can gather. The differentiator appears to be when the division is something like executive boxes between the top and bottom, then it's 2 tiered

Embarrassing isn't it, no wonder a majority of them hate it, especially when compared to Upton Park

100% agree. Dortmunds yellow wall is virtually the same when empty. It looks mad when full because it's all standing. Even Spurs has the same thing running through it for access.
Ours will look amazing when full of fans, trust me.

Isn't it nice knowing we don't have a 130 year old mindset?

Fair enough, I maybe misunderstood what we were supposed to be getting with the south stand.
Still feel a bit meh about it though. Think in hindsight we could have been more ambitious with the capacity to give the place a better feel?
Just nitpicking like but have felt underwhelmed a tad with the inside of it. I’m sure I’ll love it once in there.
