Seen Mancini linked before. Either way, clearly they just want someone for the rest of the season and Dyche isn't going to agree to that. I assume Dyche will win those negotiations.
I actually think he'll take them down with how competitive the promoted teams are looking.

I think dyche would treat it as a massive piss up and get found out quite quickly.

For a while, Dyche did decent for us. I really think Lampard was Championship bound, he had completely lost the plot and Dyche hammered some organisation into that side which was enough to scramble out, and the following season with the points deduction chaos, he did reasonably and beating the Shite 2-0 at GP having managed to get a resale last minute for my birthday is one of my all time favourite Everton memories so I probably give him more credit than most.
Obviously he wasn't my ideal choice of Everton boss, the football ranged from tolerable to eye achingly bad and last season was like watching a slow motion car crash so his time had definitely come but I wonder whether we sometimes forget what a fucking shambles Lampard had created and that Dyche's initial impact was positive.
I think, short term, he probably keeps that Forest side up this season. I could see it being mutually beneficial if he accepted a deal till May with a chunky bonus for avoiding relegation and they parted ways in the summer.

I think he just wants to get away with doing the bare minimum as a manager.
It’s why his style of football is the way it is. It’s as basic as it gets.
To do anything progressive on the pitch requires hard work and he doesn’t seem to want to do it.
The closest manager to him in the premier league is Moyes and he’s levels above dyche.
Sit back, knock it long and hope your attacking players come up with something. Might be good enough to keep them up but I don’t see their fans having much patience when the inevitable horrid run of form comes up.

Dyche got Burnley relegated, couldn't cope with us towards the end. I don't think he's the survival specialist people take him for. Add to that the crazy owner and Forest may just go down.

I think its really unfair. Dyche is a hero at Burnley. Kept burnley up 6 years while making regular profit on transfers which helped transform the clubs facilities. He also had two good seasons with us (given the circumstances) though there was awful runs in that time.
The issue isn't so much his record its the spectacular way the wheels came off in that final season with us. It was beyond inept. Id be extremely worried that the most recent evidence is the most relevant if I was a forest fan.
On top of everything else forest have spent 200m and are in Europe. Dyche seems a miserable appointment even if they get the best version

Nottingham Forest want Marco Silva to replace the sacked Ange Postecoglou, in addition to Sean Dyche and Roberto Mancini.
Fulham would nevertheless want £10m for the 48-year-old, who would be reluctant to move mid-season. Forest are nevertheless hoping to strike a deal.
The club's owner Evangelos Marinakis has worked with the Portuguese at his other club, Olympiakos, where Silva won the Greek title in 2016-17. Silva is now in his fifth season at Craven Cottage, having turned Fulham into a competitive mid-table side.
Dyche is meanwhile extremely keen on the job, having previously described it as an ambition due to being a boyhood Forest fan, but is reluctant to accept a short-term contract. Forest only want to commit to a longer-term deal if they feel it is the right choice, given the instability there this season.
