If we've spent any time on this (and I appreciate that is a big if), then it is very specifically the problem I had with Moyes for years (and why my levels of flap have increased this summer).
It was never, ever going to come off. At best it was agent stuff to drive out better suitors.
That time could have been better spent persuading a more realistic target that he was our number one pick.
What has happened in the last, is those more realistic targets have been chased early and hard by other clubs, so we miss out on the very best, then we miss out on our best options, then we Scrabble around for whatevers left at the end of the window.
We need to at least enquire. The big clubs can't have a Monopoly on every decent prospect.

Because the drop off when anything goes even slightly against us is massive and totally out of proportion
People need to calm the fuck down 95% of the time and trust that the people actually paid to do their jobs know what they are doing

Had this when people questioned Moshiri though didn’t we?
“I’m sure the billionaire accountant knows what he’s doing” was a common phrase.
It is possible that in a competitive field such as the premier league the people we have employed to sign identity and sign players maybe aren’t as good as the other experts employed across the league.

Its just bullshit though!
You see it all over the world. People high in power positions have no clue most of the time or are corrupt as fuck.
Anyway, it just doesn't mean they know and it will all be fine.
Things aren't currently going well.....there's no denying that.
