I proper laughed at that to the point the lads in work wanted to know what’s so funny, they didn’t get it.

He’s a player I like, but interesting to see how he would fit in to this setup. Too good to be a squad player I think.

Only issue with Wilson is, isn't this the only season where he has put up decent numbers?

Just wonder whether this form is sustainable long term.

Do we need attacking midfielders?

We do need our midfielders to chip in with goals

Not for me. Not only for his kopite history but also the fact he has a kopite face.

I'm not going to say he's shit etc which is my usual go to in these instances cause I CBA, he'd play plenty for us and he'd put up 4-6 goals, 2-4 assists a year and eventually would leave on a free and it would be fine, but yeah. He's another one of these signings where he'd just be a fella we're looking to move on from in a season or two.

He's also nothing like Grealish, he's more like a decent mcneil, find space shoot. Moments of magic but a bit more often.

Yeah he's an Andros Townsend type of player for me except probably not as hard working.

McNeil out Wilson on a free.

Sound by me.

We already have Dibling that you hope would have a higher ceiling than him.

Makes no sense having the pair of them.

I wouldn't mind him as a squad player, but Wilson thrives as a big fish in a small pond player, which is why he's always looked good playing for Wales and in the last couple of seasons for Fulham. He's 29 in a few weeks' time, and he'd be expecting to start every game - maybe he'll bloom in his later years like Modric?

He’s more of a RW than attacking midfielder isn’t he?

Given our absolute dearth of wingers he would be a good signing on a free/cheap and would probably walk into our first team tbh
