Shame Kenright isn’t alive to see the mess he helped create.

Grim, I don't see how the premier league can think this is good for their brand... Completely destroy a club and make fans lose any interest in the game in the process.
Just don't have the energy to see us deducted 20 points in one season and still watch hoping we find a way to stay up still.
Regardless of anything else applying two punishments for separate offences in the same season is beyond ridiculous... Fine punish for one period of accounts per season if you have to, but where's the logic of doing two separate three year periods in one season... It doesn't even make sense.

Nah. Needless dig that.
The men who really caused this are very much still alive.
This is all Usmanov and Moshiri.

He does take some blame though. The reason he refused to sell so long is because he was 'waiting for the right person' and then look who he sold us to.
Realistically, he just wanted to stay in control of the club and Moshiri allowed him to do that.
Usmanov/Moshiri are ultimately to blame though, especially the latter.

Blame to go around, but finger is firmly pointed outside of the club for these outrageous punishments.
Can't be arsed with internal blame game at the moment. Especially as clearly we've been bending over backwards of late to act responsibly and spend next to nothing.
The PL can go fuck themselves trying to use us as a shield to further their own agenda.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on?
"The Premier League have noted Friday, May 24 as a backstop date for any appeal which comes after the end of the season on Sunday, May 19. This date comes ahead of the league's annual general meeting."
https://www.football.london/arsenal-fc/ ... e-28444505
So if we're found guilty then any sort of punishment won't come until after the season has finished, meaning that we could 'celebrate' staying up and be relegated anyway. Is that the case for the current deduction that we're appealing or will that be decided before the season is over?
What an absolute joke this all is.

Fair enough. He was chairman though, so could have always walked away.

We now have Andy Burnham and Mark Carney in our corner. They are 2 powerful figures.
If we are charged again, then we need to take all legal means at our disposal as a club and go after the Premier League, beyond that of the appeal. It would be a disgrace.

What I can't quite get past is that these rules are supposedly to ensure clubs are sustainable. In what world does handing us a potential 20 point deduction that would almost certainly result in relegation, where you've got a full team on Premier League wages, not push the club towards even further financial jeopardy?

Yeah, can't even be arsed debating this anymore.
What's the point?

It's outrageous to include the word "fair" in the title of the name of these rules. I mean, what's fair about it? Its created a chasm between the clubs who hit lucky being on top at the time of conception, and the rest if the country, forever. There's no coming back from the gap in those revenues.

The Esk has repeatedly insisted that we won't get charged this time around and that we are complaint with P&S this time, despite reports in the media, and he was one of the main people saying we were in serious trouble for the previous charge, when most people weren't taking it seriously.
Obviously lots of people think he's not credible, but still worth throwing it in there.
