Don't worry Michael, you won't have to push too hard, promise.

I feel sorry for Keggers. He's not a shit player and was decent when he first signed for us. That goal against Spurs too.

However he's not mentally strong enough to be a starter for us, or probably any PL team now. But let's see what he's capable of with a move to a new team and a fresh start. Hope he can kickstart his career elsewhere.

Had 100s of defenders worse than Keane, time for hk. To go like but he's not been a poor signing imo

The problem he has is that he's a defender of a bygone era, realistically the only team in the premier League where he could succeed would be Everton, or maybe Forest, under Nuno. I'm not even sure he'd get much interest from any of the promoted teams either

Looks like we can close off one of the early rumours, from this and any other transfer window.

Comes to something when you've got to sell your project to Che Adams.

Yeah, not shit but his skill set is specifically suited to a very rigid, deep defensive approach that basically no one plays anymore (not even Dyche at Everton).

That was an interesting summer. I don’t think any of the players we bought were outright bad (except maybe Sandro, which is shocking given that he could control the ball and run without falling over at Malaga) but they all had such specific requirements for what they needed to thrive and not one of them was capable of picking up extra responsibility to help the team function (except Rooney who was old and just couldn’t physically do it anymore).

Easily the worst spending spree I can remember by any club. It’s a miracle we’ve survived it this long. At least we got Pickford.

Edit: Forgot we signed Cuco Martina that summer. He was outright bad but at least on a free? I fucking hate Ronald Koeman.

Keane is not a bad CB at all but if even Dyche can't cut out the errors and head-dropping then I'm not sure where he goes from here.

I think Keane is a bad CB, for this level. I think if you can't nail down a consistent spot at a very limited team near the bottom of the Prem, you're not that good. Yes he has qualities, but I've given up expecting a period of consistency or growth.

Bit of an unfair standard given we are actually very good at centre half. We aren't very limited at centre half. Think he'd do a decent job for most of the bottom teams

I hear you but I don't think it is an unfair standard. I think he was pretty bad prior to Branners and Tarks locking the gaffe down.
