Couldn’t agree more about a loan. There’s no doubt Patterson has promise, I just don’t think chucking him in our first team and watching him struggle every week & lose confidence is going to help him. It’s not Patterson’s fault we don’t have a decent alternative.

Well maybe we do in Garner for now, and possibly try Patterson further forward as we did with Coleman in the past?

NickNack wrote: Sat Mar 16, 2024 12:45 pm Godfrey is crap but what has Patterson shown throughout his entire Everton career? He’s had 3 managers since he signed and no-one’s played him consistently. Three managers who also saw him in training every day & practice matches, as well as the games he did play and they still don’t pick him. There must be a reason for him not playing.
When exactly has Patterson been crap this season saw him play away at West Ham against paqueta was very good he will make mistakes absolutely but is comfortable on the ball and can contribute going forward and compared to Godfrey would be night and day but dyche has his favourites and then slaps the lad like a kid in a classroom 30 years ago

God help Patterson if he'd put in Godfrey or Young's full back performances this season.

Most recently Luton in the cup?

Did you see what happened or going on a Daily Fail report? Never get anything out of context do they - but more ammo for your anti Dyche agenda I suppose

It's not great like is it? The fact that other players jumped in shows you that it clearly wasn't an acceptable way to treat someone.

Not a good look.

How do you know anything happened?

How do you know BD even commented on this post? You read it on a forum? Not the best source imo.

It would be a very weird, specific thing to make up and write an article about.

Matt Hughes has been appalling when it comes to reporting on us. If you want to believe his account of what happened then go for it but he's clearly got a weird agenda against Everton and I'll believe this as soon as Burnley, Leicester, Leeds and Southampton sue us for £300m.

Not saying it's completely made up but wouldn't believe anything about the severity of it based on what Hughes says.

The daily mail constantly makes shit up, not saying nothing happened but “jumped in” makes it sound like a bar room brawl, if indeed anything happened ?

Gas how any bad press about dyche immediately dismissed by some here like he couldn’t possibly be that type of person

And there are some who immediately swallow whatever the tabloids print.

(Stubby finger like)

No, it's too specific and detailed to be made up. Use your critical faculties.

It says Tarkowski stepped in and pulled Dyche aside to allow for the situation to calm down.

Look, we all know people will view this through the prism of their own biases. People who don't like Dyche will add it to their list of things to dislike, and people who defend him might downplay it a bit and say there's nothing in it.

Personally, I think it's quite revealing and not in a good way.
