They used to try and hide it. It's just so blatant now, so crooked, so unfair and the complete opposite to what sport should be about. Not only that, but money has become prominent that teams are built with stats and percentages in mind, so top level football on the whole is getting worse and worse to watch every season as creativity and instinct are stamped out of the game. I just find the whole thing quite sad.

£31m for Bellingham?

That’s the young tax, the British tax and being called Bellingham tax all turned up to max

Sunderland played a blinder there

I've just seen it and come on to say exactly the same thing. Feels like that's double because his last name is Bellingham

He's a very good player imo.

We're being quoted £30m for Ben Doak.

It's probably more sensible paying 30 for Bellingham over Doak as whether you agree or not he should cost that much I think you at least know what you're buying. Doak's price tag vs playing time is far more askew and feels a bigger roll of the dice.

I guess everyone will have to start shopping in League One now though if this i the price of Championship players who have shown a bit of talent.

Wirtz bid rejected according to TalkSport. First £109m and now £113m. They want £126m apparently.

Football is silly, isn't it?

We're talking about that shower of shite from across the park who never spend any money now aren't we?

I thought Wirtz had a release clause, it seems not if those are the figures, at least not a reasonable one.

Looks like that Truffet is off to Bournemouth.

He'd have been a good addition and an upgrade on Myko

Cherki off to Man City for £30m. Haven't seen him play, but he's supposed to be a bit of a wizard.

Wasn’t Pep crying about having too many players?

I expect him to veto this deal immediately

Brighton spending £30m on an 18 year old from Greece.

£150m spent last season and didn’t even make europe.

I’m not sure they’re that well run a club these days.
