It's difficult for the newly promoted teams, as they have to make an effort to stay up, so have to bring in a few quality additions. They have to balance their spending with their likelihood of stating up, whilst also staying within PSR, so it's little wonder that the promoted teams tend to go straight back down. But they have to try.
No idea whether he's PL standard, but they have to take a few chances and hope that they pay off, otherwise they'll need to get their money back at the end of the season as they head straight back to the Championship. He's young enough for them to have a reasonable chance of getting their money back on him if it all goes tits up.

Was that 70 or 17m? Listened to that twice and sounded like 17m, but transfermarkt has him valued somewhere in between at €45m.
If less than that we should be involved.

I had zero clue who actually played for Chelsea last year, and since then they've already bought another 5. If we were actually living in the matrix their transfer business would be the sign of a glitch.

Should see a fair amount of loans from Chelsea this window. All that talent on 7-yr contracts going cheap, limited time offer.

Still irked Ajax blocked that loan that time.

Hire new managers on the regular, throw a shit load of money at them to build, sack him after a season, 18 months if they’re lucky, do it all over again straight after yet they’re always within PSR.
Bent club yet the focus is constantly on City. United another club that have an unlimited pot yet are in huge debt.
