Really enjoyed last year's Goodison Derby (1-0 win - mildly dubious penalty
) - took missus, sister and the kids as we could get five together easily. Very well priced. Would highly recommend it later this season to anyone considering it.Re: Today's Football 2025-26

Was about to post this, I watched some of the game. It was a bit mental, very entertaining though which as we know isn't always the case in qualifiers. Both sides surprisingly good attacking wise and there were some very nice goals...but at the back they were both pretty suspect, although Italy was perhaps a little more unlucky as they scored a couple of OGs, the one I saw was an unfortunate deflection.

This has been the play off system in the National League for a little while and while I am not naive enough to fail to see the reasoning, it has also benefitted the teams who finish 2nd and 3rd above the others in 4th to 7th in that they play less fixtures to make the final.
Rugby League also has a similar system and the guaranteed home advantage for higher placed sides is good too.
There's a logical argument for just promoting the top 3 but restructuring the current play off system to actually reward the higher finishers with a meaningful advantage rather than effectively taking no account of the season as we do now isn't necessarily a bad thing.

The advantage for finishing higher is they’re at home for the second leg?
