Super obvious he wasn't going to renew, barring them getting in the CL or something. He's hitting the ceiling though of what he can do there and I'm sure many clubs with much bigger budgets will be looking at him.
He is one of those managers that I wonder if their style would translate to a large club though.

Seems to be cut out for it mentally though. He has been on at Palace and their owners for lacking ambition, so he clearly sees himself as a manager whose teams should be pushing for everything. Whereas someone like Frank was happy to play a reserve team in cup QFs at Brentford.
Would be interesting to see how it translates at a big club but the likes of Simeone and Conte have shown you don't need to dominate possession and play everyone off the park to make it at the top.

You would need a squad that's suitable for a 3-4-2-1. He did play 4-2-3-1 briefly at Wolfsburg but he seems fairly wedded to it.

Since we don't have any full backs it might be cheaper to hire him than buy new ones...

A few rumours going around that Wolves are looking to replace Edwards with Barry-Murphy at Cardiff.

Yeah they are used to this though aren't they.
Not many managers last more than 2/3 years there? Even if they do well.

He’s forced the issue with his comments in the press recently so he’s available for the city job in the summer.

God, I fucking hate them.
They buy whatever is available to them and discard it when they decide it’s no longer useful. Players, managers, whatever. Same pattern.
Frivolous, wasteful behavior that’s having a noxious effect on football at large. I know we’re looking at Delap like we dodged a bullet but really, his career is taking a hit because he shouldn’t have gone to Chelsea. Think he’d be doing much better here or even at Newcastle where he’d be the main man more often than not and would be supported through the ups and downs.
Really hard to put this all on players to know better when they’re being offered life-changing money. Not everyone who goes there is going to be as resolute as KDH and come out the other side just fine, especially young players who are just getting their careers off the ground.
It’s not fair to have clubs that have bottomless sacks of money for throwing shit against the wall and seeing what sticks. Fuck Chelsea.
