So they get rid of two legged ties?
The advantage for finishing higher is they’re at home for the second leg?
In the National League, they binned off the two legs. 2nd and 3rd host the semi finals which, in my opinion is an improvement.

Noticed he’s playing Ben Godfrey at right back, no wonder they’re fucking terrible and Philogene has a hat trick

What a strike that was.
Surprised how defensive Forest have been here even if it's the right decision.
Murillo injured

Think that was a poor decision, don't think it was a foul. VAR should've given the goal there.
Should be Spurs 0-1.

Another absolutely terrible decision.
That’s worse than the Fulham one for me.

Went to Sporting Khalsa v Hereford FA cup today. Me and the littlest have season tickets this season for a combined total of £150 as there are an awful lot of weekends (maybe all judging by ballot success so far) where we can't go to BMD and I just love live football and she seems to have the bug.
Well, today midway through the second half of a very competitive game (Khalsa 1-2 down but very much still in it), the game was paused after the Khalsa keeper pointed out a fan behind the goal that is at the raised end of the ground where he was. Referee stopped game, keeper (Ravan Constable who is black) climbed onto the wall behind the goal but was pulled down by a team mate and then appeared to head towards the changing rooms (behind opposite goal) but he didn't and started jogging his way round the concourse towards the goal he was in when play stopped. Khalsa skipper Kris Green saw what was happening, jumped the railings and intercepted him, helped by management and coaches and other players but it happened bang in front of where we were sat and little un was distraught.
We left at that point with her in my arms crying (she's 5, nearly 6)
Plenty of Khalsa fans we know (a primary school age blond haired girl with a season ticket is something of a celebrity) stopped us on way out to give her a cuddle or kind words and a group of Hereford fans (twenty something age lads on the beer) also stopped us, apologised and said they knew who was behind what was racist abuse (I wasn't about to ask any specifics with little un how she was) and were going to provide a name ("he needs fucking off")
This was to their immense credit.
I'm at home now, and feel totally deflated. Her experience there, meeting players, having them come over for high fives and fist bumps after wins, draws and losses, away trips on team coach with players and staff, a free mascot experience last season has been amazing but I am worried today will have soured it. I want to get her to the next home game in a fortnight and make sure she has a positive experience. She has watched the men's team and women's at Goodison and loves it and I don't want her love of football spoiled by one cretin.
As you can imagine, Khalsa as a Sikh owned club is very multicultural and so she has a very diverse group of friends but has largely been unaware racism existed until today.
The conversation on the way home after she calmed down was interesting and very tough.
I had to admit I had never been racially abused as a white bloke so didn't know how I'd react, which led to a discussion about whether Ravan was justified in wanting to jump into the crowd and confront the person who said it, and if he was, why did the skipper stop him? Is it ever alright to want to hit someone? Etc etc etc.
I've honestly found it really difficult to navigate. We've ended up having a conversation that racism is never ever acceptable and even the supporters who were with the person who said it are disgusted because most people agree it is never acceptable but that it is also understandable that his teammates wanted to stop the situation getting even worse and they weren't trying to hurt him but were trying to help him.
This'll make the news now I imagine sadly. Was a really horrible experience and with adrenaline flowing and feeling concerned for Rosa, I'm not sure I handled it brilliantly.
Have typed this out more to try to straighten it all out in my own head than anything else but not the day I'd hoped for or imagined.
