Yeah sterling was elite in his day the Chelsea move never worked out I’d say he ends up in Saudi now

He wouldn't move away from London in the summer due to his family settling there so I can't see him going abroad.

He won't be able to command big money, 31 now and hasn't played a competitve match since May 2024.

He looked absolutely awful at Arsenal like. Wouldn't touch him personally. Would expect West Ham to give it a go.

One of those where if you can get him to find some form he'd be a massive positive, but the actual likelihood of that happening seems to be around here 0.5% mark.

Although saying that Moyes got a great return from Lingard and I'd have rated his chances around the same level, so I guess you never really know.

Would I be ok with McNeil going to Forest and us signing Sterling until the end of the season on equal wages? Probably would tbh as that 0.5% chance of him playing well is still half a percent more than McNeil doing likewise.

"on equal wages" is your stumbling block there.

He’s better than Dw McSnail. That’s for sure. But he runs around like a headless baby t-Rex with a snooker ball up its ass. I’m Out.

I cant see him going to Saudi, I think he's nailed on to go to Fulham, wont move from Cobham and Paige his Mrs settled in London and one of his kids at Arsenal Academy.

His eldest kid’s probably about 25 now, didn’t he have about three by the time he was 17?

Sterling was very good. I’d be concerned now because I think he is past his best by some distance but at his peak, can’t argue he was very good

Sterling was an odd one in that he was clearly a very good player but he had one absolutely elite ability that made him look elite when things clicked.

I still maintain that his movement was one of the best in the world and he found himself in so many goalscoring situations that even with his poor finishing he would put up 15+ goals

Shame, thought he could’ve been an interesting one.
