Speaking of playing in a different league I wonder if he'd fancy going somewhere like Celtic for a lot less money but the chance to win things and play in Europe.

He'll have a fairly decent pick of clubs when he does leave, everything from sitting on the bench at high level clubs to starting for a team in a lesser league.

How good do I think he is?

We’ve got a centre forward who plays isolated up front with his back to goal because the passes into him are either over his head on his head or into his chest….
A midfield who are usually 10/15 yards behind him with literally no ball player to slot him in…
on the very rare occasion he gets a decent ball into him he’s expected to score every time..
His confidence is ok for me…his attitude is now questionable but can you blame him playing under dyche tactics…. Formations…and defensive tactics….

If you're not scoring goals then how effective of a Premier League striker are you?

I'd struggle to call DCL a worse player than the likes of Wissa, Wood, Welbeck, Mateta or Jimenez and yet I'd back them all, at least on current showings, to many more than DCL in a season.

There's absolutely the argument that he's a penalty box striker and Dyche-ball has a negative effect on his stats in front of goal but it feels like he either goes through matches without even looking like troubling the goal or he'll have the match where he does get joy and misses some big chances.

Confidence is usually a factor with strikers but if the names above are scoring goals in the PL these days which DCL hasn't done for about 4 years then I don't think we should be overly concerned about finding a replacement for him.

Broja looks closer, so it will be interesting to see how he compares.

Think him and Broja would be good, no idea why but it seems like a more sexy version of Wood and Barnes.

Oh I really like him as a footballer. So many things I like in a striker he’s got in spades but missing the most important element for most of his career so far.

I’m not sure what sort of money he earns, but I think if we did have a different style of play (without getting into that discussion here!) and he continued to put together long runs of staying fit I think he’d be be worth the wage.

Don't think he's ever formed a good partnership. Hes 1 who has to play on his own for me. Him and Richarlison never really managed to form a partnership

Just because he’s not finishing under this set up, doesn’t meant he won’t under a more progressive coach, where he is more involved in play, where he has more chances and doesn’t spend 99% of his time with his back to goal with centre backs all over him or chasing aimless balls into the channels looking for a throw in or a free kick.

He’s playing a different sport now and it must be demoralising

Just about chemistry, him and Richarlison were never suited to play together and him and Beto is even worse.

Might not work but I'd be fully up for seeing how a DCL / Broja partnership worked even if it's just when we're chasing a game.

i would stick with DCL
dyches tactics are killing his game
no service to him or very very ltd and when he does get a rare chance he is expected to score every time
under a new manager {potter frank} that can play a postive and attractive system he will flourish as we know he can
we just have to be patient for now

Richie always wanted to be the bride though. Playing with Dom he was put wide and he wanted CF because of his national team dreams.

Rumours are there's no interest from Dom to consider a new contract.

I imagine he'll go to Newcastle or abroad.

Defo keep him. Would love to see him under a better manager again.

Hoping the new owners can convince him to stay.
