I think the fact nobody has mentioned the double points deduction as being the craziest moment under Moshiri just goes to show utterly dreadful his stewardship has been.

It's a crying shame we didn't get an Everton nothing or nothing. What's gone on is barely believable if we hadn't lived it. Could have replaced the board with a random selection off of here and we'd of done an infinitely better job.

Moshiri is an absolute fool who's had his pockets emptied over and over

I think this is why I struggled to answer the initial questions.

For the lows/worsts, there’s just too many choices.

For the highs/bests, almost every one of them is tainted with the knowledge that whatever feelings of joy/hope/etc. you felt in that moment was merely temporary respite.

He’s just a vessel that money flows through, and by extension so were we, apart from he comes away far richer than when he took us over

Giving Brands a new contract and seat on the board, then immediately going against him, hiring Benitez as manager, then letting Benitez wrestle all remaining power away from him, with Benitez sacking key staff, selling Digne, cancelling deals for Denzel Dumfries who has gone on to win 6 trophies with inter, and signing Patto and Myko, ruining our full back positions for years to come.

Then immediately sacking Benitez, leaving a hallowed out club with no money and fewer sellable assets.

If I didn't know that Brap is usually a positive, happy go lucky, optimistic chap I'd almost think he was deliberately trying to wind himself up here.

Basically it's all been dreadful, but we'll come out of the period with a new stadium and probably still a Premier League club.

It's like getting out of a toxic, abusive relationship but being happy that you at least have a kid you love very much to show for it.

More reasons why Benitez was the worst.

Brands oversaw the only somewhat sane period of spending of the Moshiri era. There were some stinkers (e.g. permanent Gomes) but players largely had resale value even if they weren’t quite right for us. I know we’ve spent better recently but only because we’re broke and have to keep it in check. Brands was the only one to have a big checkbook and use it somewhat reasonably.

There was a way forward through the shit but we decided to pour gasoline on ourselves in the form of a washed-up control freak manager.

Brands for me was good as a dof if he was allowed to do his job without interference from moshiri and managers the way Benitez ousted him was crazy got rid of one of our most creative outlets in digne and blocked 2 good deals

Indeed we do, but that is in the context of, allegedly, financial corruption and unfair points deductions. I don't think anyone was or is booing them for delaying the 777 takeover.

He comes away about £600 million out of pocket.

Agree with this entirely, I think I have more memories of feeling relieved than feeling any sort of 'high'.
