9g 0a last year in the prem.
Rookie numbers! He's capable of much much more and I hope to see him achieve it.
You need decent finishers to achieve decent assist stats. What is he like on key chances created? Probably fairer.

State of Grealish there.
2 chances created per game whilst being doubled up on most of the time.
Imagine his stats with an overlapping threat at lb!

1.9 expected assists, Eze will probably get past that tonight v wolves

I think there is an argument that he should be on the left and we try Grealish in the middle or on the right.
I love Grealish but honestly think Ndiaye is our best/most effective player and we've moved him from his best spot to accommodate Grealish.

We were just outside the top 4 last week. What we're doing with Ndiaye and Grealish seems to be working, the main issue is what is going on (or not) in the box and the quality of the players expected to overlap them.

Has anyone ever seen him play the CF position that dominated his career before he came to us? Strikes me as odd that we have a player capable of scoring goals not being played there, taking the right winger position which means a £40m right winger we bought in the summer can't get any game time.
With Grealish on the left, it seems to me we already have an option to try something that might work, but for whatever reason we won't try.
Are the stats lying? Was Skilliman actually shit as a CF?

Pretty sure he played as the support striker so whilst he may have played the odd game as a lone striker I'm pretty sure he was mainly a Doucoure type attacker, not an out and out striker.
He's also played there for us and was pretty poor.
Great player but out wide seems to definitely be his best position at this level.

ESPN ranked the 32 Premier League players participating in AFCON on the basis who would be missed most.
Care to guess who they had as number 1?
https://www.espn.com/espn/story/_/id/47 ... ir-absence
1. Iliman Ndiaye (Senegal/Everton)
Hugely influential as the key creative force in David Moyes' Everton, Ndiaye has featured in every Prem game so far this term, having a hand in six goals. The Toffees' creativity and goal threat will drop significantly in his absence, especially with Senegal tipped for a deep run in the competition, and the Merseysiders must meet Arsenal and Aston Villa during the tournament. Irreplaceable invention and inspiration.
Idrissa listed 9th
9. Idrissa Gana Gueye (Senegal/Everton)
Still a key man for Everton, regardless of his wild red card for slapping his own teammate Michael Keane against United, Gueye will be a big loss for the Toffees considering he's expected to be away for the best part of the month and they've got some tough fixtures coming up. Will Tim Iroegbunam or even James Garden ever be able to replace Gana's defensive influence?
Who's this James Garden chap who might fill in for him?

Banned for the next two Senegal games, for "unsporting behaviour towards the referee", which presumably was when Ndiaye was rubbing his fingers together to imply bribery for the penalty...
Probably just misses a couple of friendlies before the World Cup, don't think their warm up matches are finalised yet.

Says only applies to CAF matches, so next two qualifiers whenever they are

Nice, should give him a break during next season at some point then.
