So Masters has just confirmed that the independent panel made the 10 points up and there are no guidelines. According to him, that is the best way to do it.....just make it up as you go along....

Unfortunately I missed this, did anyone bring up the fact they didn't penalise the super league 6 because it would be unfair to fans, yet deducted us a ridiculous number of points for a far less crime, and the impact that has on fans?

The final comment from the chair was very very noticable....

Is the 10 points now the guideline?? Or could forest end up with a suspended sentence for a bigger breach?? Going to create mayhem if they still don't have guidelines. Just a lottery of who's on your independent commission

Masters touched on the unfairness to fans but circumnavigated it by saying they have to think of all clubs fans not just the fans of clubs in breach !!

according to masters "it's down to the independent panels decision" NO mention of him "influencing it with his !) point deduction comment in the press !!

It is hard to be objective on this and there is an element of David and Goliath but Masters came across as a smug corporate operator looking after shareholders and Parry as having a more encompassing view. Certainly, a huge chasm between the EPL and the EFL in terms of regulation. Parry almost gleeful and Masters squirming. But, as I say, hard to be objective.

If forests punishment isn't in line with ours there's going to but uproar. At some point they have to have guidelines. Making it up once is inept. Making it up every individual time.... well there's probably not even a word for that

i thought masters looked very uncomfortable and his body language was someone under pressure...
They tried to compliment each other but when people are calling each other by full first name terms there's obvious tensions there

The chair was excellent. She wasn't buying any of Masters' nonsense for a second.

Masters did seem to waffle when it came to us (and Forest), his responses to the points on the punishments, City and the apparent cynicism of the timing all lacked conviction. I'm surprised they can get away with "there is a timetable for City but it's a secret".

Missed this what did the chair say at the end?

The impression i got from the bit i witnessed was that the panel were not convinced and somewhat "disbelieving" in what they were being told.
The last comment from the chair summed it up entirely...
She said "if i was at a portsmouth game and the fans were watching the referees they'd be shouting at them "YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING"
