I agree. I'm sure you're already well.aware that I don't rate the guy anyway. A centre forward who doesn't score goals is neither use nor ornament. I just don't see why we're persisting with him when it's clear he doesn't want to be here.

I'm sure plenty of them don't wanna be here. Not even sure about myself.

And we persist because having him on the pitch is better for the club than not.

He needs to stay in and play, he's an important player. Once Broja is match-fit we can start thinking about dropping DCL, but until then he has to play.

And even after that, he will still be contributing a lot.

Goal return is shite but his impact of leading the line needs to be replaced before we drop him.

Be sad to see him go, because he’s a lovely lad, but I think it’s the right time for him and us.

There’s only 12 months, he’s out of contract at the end of the season and doesn’t currently want to sign a new one, so…

Perfectly reasonable behaviour.

Some should be encouraged to.

I don’t have a very good radar for such things so not sure if the “Proud of you Everton” comment is a dig at the club or a dig at DCL 🤷‍♂️

If it’s the latter, WTF??

this season so far:

Most offsides with 22, next highest Chris Wood with 14 (... born alongside Inzaghi)

In the Top 10 of big chances missed, despite being nowhere near the top 10 for shots, goals or xG.

Second in Aerial duels won. In a top 10 almost exclusively made up of defenders.

But I'll still miss him.
