All stems from people reading into the tweet I shared above, so yeah, nothing anywhere near concrete.
It's from indykalia on Twitter

That doesn’t bode well.

Getting ready for that old chestnut....we couldn't get the deals over the line, he didn't want to come etc etc.

So today’s the day, shitkickers!
I’d say already that this window is a success. Some ballers in and goal scoring options going forward added to a tight defence.
However, this does come with the mother of all caveats: Can any window of the last 10 years be considered a success if it continually ignores our need for a right back? Also, as Ram pointed out, last year’s mean defence was heavily contributed to by playing horrible Dycheball, which will, thankfully, not be on the table this year.
So. Good business so far, but a single signing of a decent RB or DM makes it very good for me. Both and I’m ecstatic. Nobody expected so many departures to be completely fixed in one window, I think most people were thinking 3-5, so with that in mind, if we do get the RB or DM today I will be doing cartwheels!

Been a very good window, especially when you compare it to the likes of Villa, West Ham, Brentford etc
Two more in today and it’s an excellent one.
Final push, 12 hours to go

Dom King just saying that he spoke to Moyes yesterday and he said he’s working on one transfer today, a left sided CB (Ake?)
Possibly two but expects just the one.

I don’t think we will get both right back and centre mid today, especially as Moyes said something the other day about not being able to fix everything in one window
Overall it’s been a good window though, we’ve got better attacking depth as well as bringing in 2/3 new starters in Grealish, Dewsbury-Hall and Dibling
So maybe a 7/10 window
With how the season has started though, the more cocky side of me thinks - a boss right back and solid defensive centre mid added could actually make this season a European push - a lot of sides look weaker than last season
Final target list pending… can’t see too many new names emerging as rumours today - Soucek, Fisher, Rohl are all already on there

Absolute madness if we don’t sign a right back

Look at the difference even a limited player like Mykolenko makes to the left side when he is available, if we got a half decent mobile RB in it would make such a difference.
You could argue that having players who specialise in a certain position are actually a good option, who knew?

If there are no more signings I say use Coleman as right back until he breaks. Try Jake in the centre while he does to give Tarks a break. When Coleman breaks move Jake back there and by that time hopefully we have Branthwaite, Tarks and Keane all available.
Garner as the sitter. Tim back up.
Pray Myko stays fit but give Aznpu minutes here and there and break him in gently.
And hope to god we score more than the other team throughout the season.
Yeah ok let’s just sign a Rb and Dm
