I'd be a bit concerned about the money he'd want, but he's a massive, massive upgrade on Beto and Barry. If it's doable, then get it done and let's make a push for a top 6 finish. He knows where the net is at least.

For the transfer fee and wages he’d cost and he’d be about to turn 30 by then, no thank you.

Don’t think we’ll get him unless he really wants to come here to get back in the England squad and sees us as his best chance for some reason i.e. guaranteed starter if he’s fit or something.

I was actually excited when I saw the link, he seems exactly the type of Moyes forward for this system and manager’s limitations.

He's actually a little younger than I thought. All about finances though, his ability to improve a side in the PL is not in question.
