Mate, try Coventry Welsh Rugby. It's 10/12 mins walk but I parked there for the Rugby League international and it was way cheaper. Give them a bell and see if their clubhouse is open Tuesday night.
It was a while back but they need a balaclava and a sawn off to be charging you £18.

I can afford it but I'm just not prepared to be ripped off.

Agreed. £18 to park for a friendly is daylight robbery.

Presumably nobody wants to actually be in Coventry, so they have to make their money from every opportunity possible.

I live in Cannock. Anything above £5 for something you can't live in or drive is extortion

Yeah, I think my old arse has been priced out of live sportsball for good. I couldn't enjoy the game/match after experiencing such prices.

£18 is indeed a rip-off if that's what's being charged, but I'm not sure the Coventry club 'benefits' from this. The stadium and car parks belong to that diamond geezer Mike Ashley (ask Newcastle fans) so one can only assume he's the one who is not wearing the mask...
As someone else said, try Cov Welsh, and there may be other pubs etc nearby doing reasonable deals.
Unfortunately I recently sold my house that was within a fifteen minute walk of the stadium, or else you could all have parked on my drive
Edit: Just checked. The eighteen nicker is for parking in the nearby shopping centre, which isn't even part of the stadium estate.
Dick Turpin is charging £15.50 to park in his car park 'C'.
Slightly better, but still a rip-off!

Have you ever used just park?
5 mins from ground. Cheaper a bit further out.

Just been the Tesco next to the stadium, and there's a massive funfair on one of the car parks at the stadium. With people parking on the one closer to the stadium. Can't imagine that's costing £18 to.park?
