Fresh off the McTominay rumours, @Toddacelli mentioned Johnny Evans who felt like the sort of player who would play for us.
I'm surprised that Lingard hasn't ended up with us at some point

David Nugent - we were linked a number of times to him and was one of those Championship stars that I half expected Moyes would try and improve. Also he is a boyhood Everton fan.
Darren Fletcher and Wes Brown - we do like from time to time bringing in Man Utd players.

Craig Bellamy... Think he was close once as well but Moyes pulled the plug. Moved enough times that he could have ended up here and he was about our level for a good chunk of his career.
