About a week late this mate, save it for the next international break.
That run of players was unreal tho.

In his peak, best LB in the world.
Crazy, crazy under rated player.
Went for a coffee once in a cafe in Aughton and he was just sat there on his laptop. The wife got no attention at all that day. What a man, what a player.
The free kick against Newcastle like.

I want him to be our manager one day.
But then I couldn’t bear it if he tanked.

That free kick was one of the best I’ve ever seen and never gets mentioned in any ‘greatest PL FK goals’

West ham when he slotted two free kicks, one in each corner?
That's definitely my favourite memory of his playing time here

Baines and Pienaar featured in bringing me to Toffee-hood. So...thanks a LOT, Bainsey!

One of my faves.
This led me down a yt rabbithole whilst doing my cardio, and got onto a Cahill interview with loads of clips and goals. Fuck me, that regular top 6 side we had was insane. Jags, Lescott, Distin, (prime) Coleman, Baines, Cahill, Arteta, Pienaar, Osman, Carsley, Gravesen, Ferguson, (pre-injury) Yakubu, Johnson, Fellaini, Saha, Mirallas, Lukaku, Deulofeu, (prime) Barkley, Stones, Barry, McCarthy would all breeze into our side right now.
