The Seamus Coleman factor

Is Seamus Coleman going to become the first player to have his debut and final game under the same manager at Everton
Can't think of many that would've done this either way no matter the manager
Suppose Ferguson was it 25 years??? and Wenger 22 years??? Would have a few like
But without injuries and their career coming to a natural end there's not going to be many that have achieved this.

Hibbert must have come close. Did he play under Martinez?

Yeah, think he played Martinez's first two season then him and Ossie were shuffled out the side door while the club gave Tim Howard his USA Day send off.

Was always strange we never gave Osman another deal. I dont remember him particularly slowing down or not being at a decent level.
Martinez was really terrified of personalities in the dressing room.

I need to find a Statto that knows this shit now, need to know how many players were signed by a manager and played their final game under the same manager.
Seamus has to be the only one to do it under a returning manager

We assuming Coleman doesn’t get another years contract and Moyes won’t be jibbed off before the end of next season?

his last season he played 2.5 90s and had zero goals and zero assists. And was near 35. It was time.

That particular vintage of Osman would fit right in with our current crop of players.

Even for a couple of seasons before that he became the whipping boy on the old Club forum.

I'd love for Seamus to come back next season. On staff.
Hopefully, we are safe so that he can start the final game at Goodison, though. That would be fitting.

It'll be massive for him to be the last captain to walk out at Goodison and the first to walk out at Bramley Moore.

For just English top flight football, Chatgpt has listed Scholes, Gary Neville and Giggs, but cops out of more by complaining about lack of comprehensive records on this matter.
