Are we really going to have to pay The Dingles for "cheating relegation"?

I dunno. Seems incredibly unlikely, but I’m a bit nervous because why would any sane person take this to court just to lose.

Still think it’s more likely that they could get something off the PL for being a fucking circus, but off us? I don’t think so…

…yet I worry.

It doesn't make sense to me. We got a points deduction. If they can sue us because it was the following season could we have sued Luton had it relegated us and kept them up? Surely any issues they have is with the league.

Thought it would be more of a league issue, seems to be gaining some momentum though

It’s funny how in their attempt to act like a big club it’s making them look like an even smaller club than they already are.

I enjoyed Leicester and Forest suing us before falling foul of PSR themselves

They've been back up since and didn't manage to stay up - would they try and say that was our fault too? Where does it end?

A few weeks ago, people were saying the PL were hugely fortunate neither Everton nor Forest went down because the rules they'd been trying to get everyone to abide by weren't enforceable. I can't really say I followed that story too much, but if those rules are the legal basis haven't they been proven unjustifiable?

We accepted our penalties - 2 in one season - and now they're saying we should be punished again? It's absolutely not Everton's fault we were punished when we were. Having acknowledged our breaches, we did everything by the book procedure-wise. The fault lies with the PL - Burnley should be going after them as the rest of it has nothing to do with us.

The Premier League must be cringing at this. If Burnley get awarded compensation because this was applied in the wrong season then I think it becomes an open and shut case that Everton were mistreated by being punished twice in the same season as both would have to be an abuse of process (ironically a process the PL made up on the hoof).

My guess would be Burnley don't get compensation and the PL will use the City case debacle as the final push to finally dispose of FFP/PSR in it's entirety as it's an arbitrary, unenforceable nonsense.

Can we sue the PGMOL for the points we've lost over the years, costing us potentially higher league placings and therefore additional prize money. We have a whole bunch of apology letters from them, so it's not as if they could deny it?

That's just tongue in cheek BTW. I'm just highlighting the absurdity of it all. I mean, where does it all end?

Not when humans are involved.
