Re: Jack Grealish
The more I see Ndiaye back in his best position on the left the less I'm on board with us signing Grealish for next season.

Re: Jack Grealish
I think if you look at that team yesterday and replace McNeil with either Grealish or someone like Malick Fofana you have to wonder if going all in on Jack is actually smart business.
We still have no pace and signing Grealish won't change that.
Maybe in an ideal world we get Grealish on a free and £150k a week wages, then buy the next Fofana or Rayan to play backup... But not sure how feasible that is.
Given the strong links to Harry Wilson too I think our absolute priority for a wide player is pace, can't be signing multiple wingers with average at best speed.
I like Grealish, but we've arguably been maybe better without him so I don't think it's as cut and dried as just sign him no matter what tbh

Yeah im not really in favour of spending 20m and 200k a week on grealish. Hes an amazing footballer but his entire game benefits the type of players we don't have
Also it does show the ridiculousness of the dibling signing. Even had it worked out really well he still wasn't what our team desperately needed. It really is vital that the summer window is a really good 1 both in terms of quality and in terms of being exactly what we need. Pace, attacking intent from full back and a goalscorer

Re: Jack Grealish
We will probably just loan him again and get him free season after when his contract at city is up.
Like I said, it's a bit weird to be saying no thanks to a player like him.

All depends on the cost. We ain't gonna turn him down on a freeAudrey Horne wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2026 4:40 pm We will probably just loan him again and get him free season after when his contract at city is up.

Re: Jack Grealish
Look how bought in he is. He’s coming back and I’m good with it.
He’s an absolute joke of a player. The control under pressure, the way he finds space when it seems like there’s none. Best player I’ve seen wear the shirt (wasn’t around for the ‘80s or Kanchelskis).
Ndiaye was doing well bagging from the right when they were both in the team. New fullbacks to partner both of them and we are a very interesting team.

Just depends on the finances.Audrey Horne wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2026 4:40 pm We will probably just loan him again and get him free season after when his contract at city is up.

I'm not against signing him, I just don't think it's a priority. Other things we need to sort before spending anything on him even if it's just his wages as they're huge for a club like us and the new cost ratios
Re: Jack Grealish
Should be the biggest priority imo.
Not just for his talent, but for the fact he played 90 minutes every game, bar illness and suspension and looked the fittest player on the park.
Even at £20m and 200k a week I’d do it in a heartbeat.

I'd love to find a way to play him centrally and have him doing a Bernardo Silva type role for us.

Re: Jack Grealish
He played every minute of every game, and then broke down and misses the entire second half of the season. Not sure his fitness is something we should be using as a positive to sign him.
