The Real Madrid game has been alright. 1-1 at the moment against Al Hilal.

You can see why the Saudis want this tournament, they've spent enough that they can put out at least one competent side (they've played pretty well here) and they want the validity of playing against better teams as it makes their league seem more legitimate.

Quite enjoying this tbh.

Love the new rule of a corner being given when the keeper is time wasting.

Think this is their last hurrah, same as Muller at Bayern I assume.

Palmeiras vs Al Ahly has actually been a cracker of a game. Really feisty. Almost HT still 0-0.

Decently filled out stadium with fans who are into it too helps.

Yeah this is an enjoyable watch.

Even in this competition the English refs still embarrass themselves.

Inter Miami look awful.

Suarez is so finished it’s painful to watch.

Unpopular opinion but on balance, the sportswashing cup has actually been quite watchable. The games have been pretty competitive, there are some new teams for the more Euro centric of us outside of the usual suspects and when there is an actual crowd it can feel like a tournament.

Some games have been a bit daft like the Auckland vs Bayern one, but even that was entertaining in it's own way just to see how silly it could get.

I’ve enjoyed it.

It’s great to be able to watch teams from other continents. It really is all about the South American teams.

This and the test series starting will keep me going for a bit.

Oh man, what a shame. Auckland (playing Benfica) almost made it through the first half without conceding, which would've been their first ever. Then gave away a stupid penalty with about 1 min of injury time to go.
