My absolute lack of sophistication meant I needed to google to ascertain whether this was a drink or a pudding. In fairness, I got well into my 20s before realising Rose wine wasn't red and white mixed.

Not specific to BMD but I've no idea how some people sit in these lower parts of the stadium each week. Sound for moments I guess but I was behind the goal for the Spurs match in the Lower North to the extent the goal's net and crossbar were obstructive views and you're just trying to guess and react to what's happening at the other end of the pitch. Obviously you can see but it's that far away...

I've decided that If I can't obviously make out the formation of the team from where I'm sitting then it's not for me.

Purely from a view perspective, my ranking so far:

1) Brighton - North West Upper (A few rows from the 'front')
2) Aston Villa - South West Upper (A few rows from the 'front')
3) West Ham - South Upper (Steep)
4) Crystal Palace - South East Lower
5) Tottenham - North Lower (A few rows from the front)
6) Mansfield - East Lower on Halfway line (A few rows from the front) - Just a bunch of legs running around

It's a general rule of thumb that the older you get the further away you want to sit.

As a kid, the blood and thunder of the game, being close to your heroes, getting on telly - this is what you go the match for.
As you get older, you want to see more of the game, not the players themselves

Is this just a brag about how lucky you've been in the ballot?

Personalised stones between the railway tracks, including a Leitch design? Absolutely milking dry the concept at this point. Good.

Shite isn't it. Wonder what the churn will be like next season? Might get a half season ticket.

The plaza is really good imo.

Think the fanbase needs to get up to the times with a lot of things.

People getting in touch with the fans services because of the DJ playing after the match.

So fucking what like.

Yeah, I'm a bit of a traditionalist but this is how football is these days. We all moaned back in the day when we had no money and now we're all moaning because we don't like the name or colour of something that's bringing valuable revenue into the club.

Nah shouldn't have a DJ playing before the match has finished.

After the game fine imo, they want you to stick around and have a bevy, need more than a DJ imo but fine.

In absolute honesty, I do think a lot of the complaints are typical karenisms. It's too loud, it's too quiet, it's this it's that - imagine a lost of complaints about goodison, would be a mile long and you'd be told so fucking what. I got told to sit down at goodison loads, I even had to sit next to a kopite during a derby that we fucking LOST. Had a bad racist bully near me in the park end who was awful to everyone around him but had a big gang of meat head mates who would square up to old men if they told him to shut up...

That said, is it teething issues or is this new stadium just not that good?

The vast majority of my gripes from the first two games have evaporated to be honest.
It's not as hit, it's not as crowded, the staff are on top of their game and so queues are small.

Yeah, it sucks a bit that people in different parts of the ground can get different food and drink options than me - but that's trade-off for fast and efficient service reallyu.

The acoustics are potentially **too**good. Cant hear the game kicking off for either half when you're downstairs. Pipping some of the crowd noise into the concourse speakers would solve this.
The toilets are still a bit of a nightmare.

But no, i'm converted and a fan. An exciting football team (or even a boring one that wins through adversity) woud make that place amazing. We may have left Goodison, but we brought the shit crowd from it.

My only gripe is still getting there each game - I've driven or got the train a few times, the logistics to both options are poorly thought out and need reviewing. I've not been to every ground in the prem but can't recall any that have the issues we currently do

I still get a bit frustrated with the toilet issue, but it's nothing compared to the travel stuff.

It's been handled really poorly and everyone seems to be taking a 'that's not on us, and it's not really that bad' approach to it.

I'm not looking forward to the journey when the weather really starts to turn.

Yeah don't complain, just get told by the official travel services that it's a fantastic way to get our daily steps in.

Patronising cunts.

Oh didn’t realise they were playing it whilst the game is on. That’s not on like, why are they doing that?

It’s all teething issues. The stadium and its location is great but I think it’ll take years to sort the allocation of seats and getting people in the south who want to contribute to the atmosphere.

At the moment, the park end was a lot better than what I’ve experienced in the south. Feel like a lot of people are just there to moan and complain.
