Definitely one of my favourite ever Everton players, probably only topped by Jags for that era.

Wouldn't want him as manager here unlike some, but still goes down as a fantastic player for the club

Played 110 games in 5 years according to Wikipedia. Thought it was less than that to be honest. Might be remembering it wrong. I thought he was more a squad player despite being captain

9 as a player for us, loved him

He was decent for us but I remember getting to the stage I never got excited by his corners or free kicks, rarely got past the first man. Probably deserved a Spain cap and I think was about to get called up but got injured but he was levels below who they had anyway. A solid 7 for us I'd say.

Arteta was a superb player, loved him particularly when he played in the middle. Hard working but so talented on the ball. Made us tick. Remember being on a night shift when he moved and being devastated. Easy 9

He's a proper whiny little bellend now. But he was incredible for us and remains in my top 5 favourite Everton players.
