Wouldn't want him as manager here unlike some, but still goes down as a fantastic player for the club

Played 110 games in 5 years according to Wikipedia. Thought it was less than that to be honest. Might be remembering it wrong. I thought he was more a squad player despite being captain

He was decent for us but I remember getting to the stage I never got excited by his corners or free kicks, rarely got past the first man. Probably deserved a Spain cap and I think was about to get called up but got injured but he was levels below who they had anyway. A solid 7 for us I'd say.

Arteta was a superb player, loved him particularly when he played in the middle. Hard working but so talented on the ball. Made us tick. Remember being on a night shift when he moved and being devastated. Easy 9

Gave us great balance with Osman and Cahill at a time when we had real potency down the wings with Baines and Coleman.
Really good player but I think 7 (pushing 8) for me.

Excellent player who was often a 9, but for me, overall- has to be a solid 8 (with flashes of 9).

He was a baller, comfortable 9. Might’ve gotten to a 10 if the injury in 08-09 didn’t slow him down. That was shaping up to be his best season yet and he never recovered anything close to his peak level after.

I still can’t wrap my head around his apparent apathy towards us now, he played all his best football here.

It's a 9 from me. I loved him when he was with us.

Him on the right, Pienaar on the left. I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days, before you've actually left them.

He probably should have scored more goals for us, would be my main criticism.
