I know. Just remember him looking a star (admittedly a few years ago) think hed be worth the risk if he were cheap
It can't be that many years ago, he's only 21!
Persistant ankle troubles too which Roma are concerned enough about that bought two forwards in January.
The 'flick' he attempted earlier in the match where he completely missed the ball and gave possession back to Bournemouth was pretty indicative of his lackadaisical attitude, and that same thing happened with his 2nd miss.
If he cuts that out and plays with more purpose he's a decent all round striker, but it's the immaturity that boils my piss and imagine Moyes will be incandescent with rage about too.
Almost feels like because he's scored a few he's regressed thinking he can be the cool show pony type. A spell on the bench is what he's going to get for it, and hopefully he learns a few lessons from it.

I can't believe we never looked at Rayan at any point, I even knew about him and I know fuck all.
Looks like an Adriano regen other than not looking like him.
I was literally lying awake last night wondering why we didn't pick him up. As you say, he's been tearing up the Brazilian league for the last year or so, and as a physical specimen he's a great fit for Premier League football, whereas Dibling for example we know has some growing to do.
Looks to me like he could eventually move central as more of a Rivaldo regen.

You say Rivaldo, I say Adriano, lets call the whole thing off.
Just doesn't seem to have that poachers knack or instinct that all the better strikers seem to have. He's ok with a bit of time and space to think about the finish, his goal against Villa was quality, he and us just can't afford for him to continue to miss the easier chances.
He just seems very awkward and leggy at times, maybe that's because of his stature, doesn't seem able to adjust or move his feet quickly enough.
Last night was one of his poorer games but as someone else said getting hooked early and seeing him on the bench with his head in his hands is doing nothing for him it’s not as if Beto is a big improvement or anything the lad looked devastated
I’d just stick with him tbh. He’s nabbing a couple of goals. Some decent link up play. We’ve seen Yakubu miss easier chances than Barry has. You’ve just gotta be patient with some players. If he was one of the senior players it would be a different story but you’ve just gotta push through with the youngsters.
I had a kid and mortgage at the same age, footballers lead a pampered lift style and are inherently immature.
That said, you could see the misses had a big impact on him last night, you can't relate to the pressure he's under when you have 55000 people relying on you to make or break their evening.

Absolutely, and obviously 23 is very young but in terms of football you should be establishing yourself at that age. Garner has been here 4 years and is 24, can't remember many saying he was very young during his criticism in that time.
