Quite a difference in their roles, but whilst Branthwaite has been brilliant, Tarkowski deserves considerable praise for his leadership and overall role in our solidity this season.

He's been a brilliant asset and I think he'll be as hard to replace when the time comes

Great signing exactly the type of transfer we should be looking at free transfers or contracts running down good proven prem players

We need to rave about this guy a lot more than we do. Goes quietly about his work so so effectively.

PL Stats for the season:

4th in Interceptions (Jarrad 6th)
1st in Blocks (Jarrad 5th)
3rd in Last man tackles
2nd in Clearances (Jarrad 8th)
2nd in Headed Clearances (Jarrad 7th)
1st in Aerial Battles won (DCL 2nd, Jarrad 12th)

4th Best defensive record in the league and 2nd in the number of clean sheets.

Absolutely fantastic season of numbers for Tark (and Jarrad/Picks)

He's an excellent low block defender, and a good pro. The manager's setup suits him a lot.

Would hate to see him camped out on the half line, defending with space behind him, but don't think that'll be an issue for him under Dyche.

He’s been brilliant.

Always available, very rarely below 7/10, good on the ball, good in the air, just an all round very good defender.

Absolute top shagger as well when you watch that Amazon thing.

Has it all.

Bit of a Distin signing isn't he. Good, solid, experienced PL defender, decent leader too. We'll get five years out of him and he'll have been a great value signing.

Yeah, he's been extremely solid for us but Dyche is also the perfect manager for him. It's not like he's one of those who is a level above where we are.

I think Dyche being the perfect manager for him and vice versa is completely correct, and not in any way an insult or slur.

He's a very good solid and dependable defender, who also happens to be a really good leader and a complete and utter shithouse for good measure.

He wouldn't get in a top 6 team but it doesn't mean he's not a really good player.

He's been a quite frankly brilliant signing given we got him for free and will get a decent number of years out of him.
