Much as he's not nearly as bad as he'd made out to be by social media hate mobs and tabloids, if we signed Harrold Maguire, I'd want Thelwell to clear his office out and be escorted off the premises by security within the hour.

He's definitely not the profile of player we should be targeting, and there's no world where he's affordable to us, or Man UTD or the player themselves would agree too... And he'd not want to come here anyway.

What I would hope we'd do is put whatever is spendable into TWO developmental centre halves (hopefully at least one that isn't heavily right-side dominant). Let them battle it out to partner with Tarks, the other is the top reserve. We need depth, youth, and competition for places. In my view, anyway.

He's played and done quite well last season. They might be happy to get his big wages off their books but I doubt that means on loan with them still paying at least half
